Summary: "On Monday morning, Capt. Waltemyer with about 40 members of Co. B, 1st Maryland Regiment" came to Boonsboro to seize "the arms held by the members of the disbanded Boonsboro' Guards, and conveying them to Williamsport." Some already turned over to Capt. Brining, Capt. Davis, and Lt. O'Neal of the Home Guards, "and a committee was out gathering in the others when Capt. W. and men arrived." Weapons given "to Capt. Davis for the use of the Home Guards." Eleven guns taken to Williamsport claimed as "secession prizes" but later returned to the Home Guards. From Boonsboro' Odd Fellow.

Summary: "…John Marrow, of Sharpsburg in this county [Washington], was accidentally killed at Frederick last week." Member of Capt. Cronise's Company, which "went to Frederick to join the Home Brigade. Musket of his comrade, Augustus Banford, misfired "the ball entering his breast and coming out of his back. He was 21 years old, youngest of 4 brothers all in the Home Brigade. Escorted home to Sharpsburg by 24 men.

Dellinger; Secretaries Isaac Nesbitt and Joseph O'Neal, unanimously adopted. Lewis P. Firey nominated for Senator; 5 named in article for House of Delegates; 5 named for County Commissioners; Henry Gantz named for Sheriff; James Brown for County Surveyor. Four resolutions made in support of the Union and against the MD legislature.
