Summary: Recruiting for the 4th Regt. of the Potomac Home Brigade under Lt. Col. G. R. Dennis has been progressing slowly, but recently a group of 27 artillery men, principally from Carroll County, has been added. The company is expected to be filled soon with recruits already enlisted. At Hagerstown there is also a full company of cavalry belonging to this regiment. The recruiting station is at Kemp Hall opposite the office of the Examiner.
