Summary
Reminder of the upcoming Union mass meeting that will decide the nominees for Mayor and five Aldermen who will "control the affairs of the Corporation for the ensuing three years." In the current crisis, it is important that the nominees be competent and loyal and people should set aside former disagreements. "After the departure of the army, we shall need a most efficient and vigilant municipal government."
