We are again under the necessity of calling the attention of the Military authorities to the dangerous practice of fast riding through the streets. We scarcely know who ought to be held responsible for this unbecoming habit, whether the soldiers who indulge in it, or those who furnish them the liquor which renders them so unmindful of law and order. At all events, we think, if the authority with which the Provost marshal is invested, was promptly interposed, the evil that exposes the lives of our citizens, especially of the children, would find an efficacious remedy.
