New editor of "The Democratic Advocate" comments upon 2 previous years of the paper's existence - "brighter political auspices" under which he resumes editorship - comments on great changes which came about in recent election (Nov. 5, 1867) - that election meant "proscriptive enactments have been expunged from our statutes…the Scales of Justice are again balanced, and Negro suffrage…smells with a stench in Radical nostrils…"
