COUNTY APPOINTMENTS. – The County Commissioners, during their session last week, among other business, made the following appointments: Samuel[?] Soneker was appointed Constable for Jefferson District, No. 14, to fill a vacancy – there having been only one constable for the last year in that district, whereas it is _______ __ two. The resignation of Mr. George _____, as Return Judge of Election for Catoctin District No. 6, was accepted; and Solomon Forest, Esq., was appointed in his stead. Dr. Wm. Tyler, Jr., having resigned as Physician to the County Jail, Dr. J. J. Moran was appointed for the unexpired term.
