Summary

The account of the death of D.C. Rentch, the rebel-supporting man who was shot and killed in Williamsport, was correct. (Refer to ID#: 7710) He was suspected of being a spy and articles found on his body confirmed the suspicion. He was known to cross the river at Williamsport many times.
