Feuding between the Herald and Torch Light and The Mail over issue of building a school for Negro children and significance of what was contributed to build it by the Freedmen's Bureau. The Mail said what the Bureau gave was insignificant, but the Herald said it was 40,000 bricks and challenges the Mail to double that amount in lumber, etc.
