Soldiers and Sailors' Convention

Summary

The Soldiers and Sailors Convention met in Baltimore to appoint Maryland delegates to Soldiers and Sailors National Convention in Chicago. Col. E. M. Mobley of Washington Co. was appointed as President and Lt. E. Y. Goldsborough of Frederick Co. was appointed as one of the vice-presidents. The article names 20 delegates from the 4th Congressional District which includes Frederick, Carroll and Washington counties. A resolution nominating Grant for president was adopted.
