The Maryland Union Exposed
Summary
The Examiner claims The Maryland Union, in league with the Johnson Party, illegally tried to raise its circulation in Frederick County above that of The Examiner and secure the right to print lists of registered voters and be paid for it. The Examiner reproduces a letter from Charles Cole, Editor of Union, explaining how the scheme could be arranged. The Examiner says this is an illegal action by Johnson Party supporters which violates the Registry Law and defrauds The Examiner.
