Transcript

EDITORIAL CHANGE. – The Maryland Union has passed under the editorial conduct of James T. Smith, Esq., a young lawyer of promise, who announces that he has “purchased the interest of Bradley T. Johnson, the former senior editor of the Union.” Mr. Smith approves the course of the Union in pronouncing for Douglas, as the regular democratic nominee. From his antecedents, we expect to find him courteous and agreeable in his editorial relations, however we may differ in political opinion, and for the rest, he has our sincere wishes for his prosperity in the arduous career he has assumed.
