Summary

The article pertains to a speech made before the Tennessee legislature on behalf of Negroes' rights to testify in court. Mr. Richards suggested that if Negroes have been "Christianized" by various religious denominations, why are they "worthy to take the sacrament, and be unworthy to stand in the witness box."
