Summary
Examiner and Citizen newspaper editors disagree over report published in Examiner of the assault on Capt. Saunders by former rebel soldiers Wm. Dorsey and Wm. McLanahan. Citizen defends the character of the assailants but Examiner does not and says it will not act as "apologist for the misconduct of returned rebels."
