AN UNGENEROUS FLING. – The Republican Citizen announces that the County Commissioners for this County ____ on the 2d inst., by electing Mr. Wm. Metzger, as President of the Board. The Citizen knew that this was not true; it had been published two days before in The Examiner that Mr. Rinehart had been chosen President; and there is no reasonable explination of the mis-statement, except a desire to mortify and reproach Mr. Metzger; who is a liberal and independent democrat, and will not tamely submit to the dictation of the wireworkers and the discipline of the party which exacts uncomplaining obedience.
