At a meeting last week…

Summary

A meeting was held in Chestertown by the Copperheads, rebel sympathizers, and returned rebels, all of Kent County, urging that a convention be held in Baltimore or Frederick to appeal the current unfair Registry Law. Examiner states it hopes Frederick will not be the site of a meeting. "The people of this city are sick and tired of rebel meetings" and don't want a concentration of them meeting even overnight in Frederick.
