Union State Convention

Summary

State convention of the Constitutional Union Party will be held in Baltimore. The two-fold purpose of convention is: to elect delegates to National Union Convention and nominate electors for President and Vice-President of the United States to be voted on by the conservatives of Maryland at the Presidential election. The delegates to national convention should be "intelligent, discreet, conservative citizens..." Article mentions other upcoming convention in Charleston. Stresses "Union-loving." Argues for importance of the Constitutional Union Party in presidential election. Names some delegates from various Maryland counties.
