Summary
A large and respectable meeting of friends of the Constitutional Union Party was held in Middletown. Paper printed names of delegates to the County Convention to be held in Frederick. Signed: Robert Shafer, President and John L. Linthicum, Secretary. Group thinks "further agitation of the slavery question is exceedingly dangerous to our National prosperity."
