Died of His Wound
Summary
Pvt. Charles P. Biser, Co. G, 7th MD Volunteers, son of local resident Peter Biser, was wounded in battle on March 31, 1865 near Southside Railroad, VA, died from his wounds the following day. His mother died same day. She buried at German Reformed Cemetery and son on the field of battle. Chaplain T. Tully of 4th Delaware Vols. wrote letter to father on April 2, 1865.
