Summary
Charles E. Seidel and his family, former Middletown residents but for the last six years living in Franklin Co., Georgia, returned to MD. Their accounts of the destitution of the South match those from elsewhere. Seidel said it cost him $10,000 in Confederate currency to bring his family from Georgia to Point of Rocks.
