Summary
Maryland is an ideal location for agriculturalists from the North to settle if they want a milder climate. Farm prices are cheap now, especially in the counties exposed to raids. Frederick Co. is as desirable as Duchess, NY and superior in climate. A vast emigration to this new free state will occur when the war ends.
