Brutal Assault
Summary
Mr. Frederick Shipley was attacked by three soldiers on the street for no just cause or provocation. The soldier who committed the assault, named Schultz, is a member of the company now on Provost duty. He was arrested by Provost Marshal Baugher. It is hoped that the Provost Marshal will institute some "stringent" measures to insure more safety for citizens on the streets of Frederick. Many people are afraid of drunken and insulting soldiers and rowdyism.
