Summary

The paper prints two articles from the La Crosse Democrat which is a staunchly Democratic paper. The first says, "Nominate another Abe Lincoln, and the country will produce another John Wilkes Booth.." The second says that the paper wishes to hang a Confederate flag next to the National flag, " - each being American and having floated over men whose bravery have never been surpassed."
