Antietam Cemetery

Summary

The books, papers, etc. of the Antietam Cemetery have been reviewed by Hon. John Jay and Col. W. Y. Selleck, two Commissioners to the board of the cemetery from New York and Wisconsin respectively. All was found in order and it appears that the appropriation from New York will be made. It is hoped that the appropriation will also come from Pennsylvania with the approval of Gov. Geary of that state and that the cemetery will be completed by spring and the monument erected. Although there was bad management of the cemetery dedication, this is not attributed to Dr. Biggs, President of the Board of Trustees or Secretary Thos. A. Boullt. [from Boonsboro' Odd Fellow]
