The Senatorial Election

Summary

A letter to the editor from "Anon" comments on the bad feelings regarding the election, "not only by the Conservatives, but also by many influential Democrats." The party in the Western counties may be ruined. While the Radicals talk of having "Ratification" meetings, the Democrats and Conservatives talk of "Indignation" meetings. The writer says that Swann may now be looking at the backs of his Democratic friends.
