Hauvers District
Summary
Proceedings of a meeting of the loyal citizens of the Hauvers District at Sabillasville. Jacob F. Miller was elected chairman. All voters of the district opposed to secession and in favor of the Union can be delegates to the convention in Frederick on Sept. 28th. A number of resolutions were passed concerning attitudes toward the war. It was also resolved to have the proceedings of the meeting published in county newspapers favorable to preservation of the Union.
