The Democratic Nominations

Summary

The report on the recent Democratic nominations says they demonstrate that the party is allying itself with the "pro-Rebel, States Rights" opinion. Those nominated to be judges were all in some way connected with the rebels - either imprisoned for alleged treasonable practices, related to known rebels, etc. None of the nominees for any office are believed to have wished for Union success.
