A Shooting Fracas
Summary
Two soldiers were injured during a fracas on 6th Street, which involved one of the soldiers getting shot and the other getting knocked down; Robert Castle, a civilian, was arrested for having shot the soldier, however testimony was very conflicting and the authorities were unsure of the guilty party. As Robert Castle was leaving the office of the Provost Marshal, he was hit in the head by a rock. The Provost Guard prevented any more violence against him and took him to his home.
