The Negroes of the South

Summary

Editorial stating that the Northern newspapers which publish numerous stories of white assaults on Negroes in the South need to look at similar numbers of assaults which occur in the North and not "denounce and lampoon the entire South for the individual cases of maltreatment which now and then occur." The paper says these stories only stir up sectional animosities and the "petty newspaper warfare tends only to aggravate them."
