The Quotas

Summary

The military quotas for the 4th Congressional District (Carroll, Frederick, Washington and Allegany counties) are listed. These are in response to the President's call on December 19, 1864 for 300,000 men. The 4th District must send 1,750; Frederick County's share is 750; Carroll's share is 417; Allegany's share is 176 and Washington's share is 321. The quota for the state is 9,142.
