Chinquapin Charlie
Summary
Mr. Henderson, owner of a local bookstore, loaned a book to the Examiner entitled "Chincapin Charlie" written by Nellie Eyster, the niece of George Blessing. The author formerly lived in Frederick County but now lives in PA. She tells the story of Mr. Blessing's encounter with the Rebels in 1864. The book is set in Frederick County, is very readable and is recommended.
