Summary
A large Union meeting was held in Boonsboro at which J. M. Kilgour, M. Cooper and J. Wooten, Esq. of Frederick spoke. A Douglas ratification meeting was held in Hagerstown at which Col. Wm. P. Maulsby of Frederick and J. D. Bennett, Esq. of Hagerstown spoke. The Cumberland Alleganian in Allegany County and the Evening Star in Baltimore have both endorsed the Douglas-Johnson ticket.
