Sabre Presentation

Summary

The account of a saber presentation at Camp "Broadhead" 2 miles north of Frederick City. Members of the Co. D, Third Michigan Cavalry, presented their commanding officer, Capt. J. B. Park, with a gold-mounted saber, sash and belt as a "token of their respect and confidence." The presentation was made by Acting Lt. C. F. Shepard. The text of the presentation was printed in the paper along with the reply of Park.
