Christmas Dinners

Summary

A description of Christmas dinners for two army units stationed in or near Frederick. Co. F of the 46th PA Regiment and the regimental band had a sumptuous dinner at the Dill House and then proceeded back to their camp about 3 miles outside of town. The Zouaves d'Afrique under Capt. Collis were treated to a fine meal by their commander and his lovely young bride. The Zouaves are a picked body of men who are part of the bodyguard of Maj. Gen. Banks.
