Hospital of Third Western Regiment

Summary

The east wing of State Barracks has been used as a hospital for members of the Third Wisconsin Regiment for the last two weeks. The attendance by two surgeons and the assistance of the Relief Association are expected to "be productive of the happiest results to the sick."

HOSPITAL OF THIRD WISCONSIN REGIMENT – The East wing of the State Barracks has been used as a Hospital for the sick of Col. Riger’s[?] command during the last two weeks. Every attention has been paid to the inmates by Dr. J. B. G. Buster, one of the Assistant Surgeons of the Regiment. On Monday, Dr. H. O.[?] Crane, an Assistant Surgeon of the same regiment and connected for some time past with the General Hospital in Baltimore, also entered upon duty at this Hospital. The medical skill of these gentlemen, aided by the ___ing attendants of the Relief Association, may be expected to be productive of the happiest results to the sick.
