Summary
"Squads of rebel troops approach pretty closely to the [Potomac] river on the Virginia side, but they do not venture to cross." Federal troops on the lookout, some skirmishing near Hancock reported, "and also that the water-station and platform on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad at Sir John's Run were destroyed by the rebels."
