Summary

Responding to "the appeal of the National Sanitary Commission, the Loyal Women of Hagerstown have organized themselves…" to provide items for the relief of soldiers - "blankets, quilts of cheap material…woolen or canton flannel bed gowns, wrappers, undershirts and drawers; small hair and feather pillows and cushion for wounded limbs, woolen socks and slippers." Mrs. Harry, President, Mrs. Sneary, V.P., Miss McKee, Sec., Mrs. Boullt, Treas., also 5 women [listed] appointed to a Board of Managers.
