Summary
"Union citizens of Funkstown met to nominate ten delegates…to represent said district [10] in the County Convention to be held in Hagerstown on Saturday next, Sept. 21st." Henry Tritch, Chairman, George Carson, Secretary. 20 men nominated, named in article. Two pro-Union resolutions adopted, one based on the words of Joseph Holt of KY, other in the words of Andrew Jackson - "The Federal Union must and shall be preserved."
