"the loyal citizens of District No. 6" attended a meeting of the Union Central Committee in Boonsboro, Saturday September 14, "to elect delegates to the Convention to be held in Hagerstown, on the 21st of September, to nominate a County ticket." Officers of the meeting were Michael Newcomer, Chairman, Henry S. Eavey, V.P., and Frisby J. Davis, Secretary. Names of 20 delegates elected included in article.
