Notice: Sheriff Ed. M. Mobley gives notice that three runaway slaves have been committed to jail in Washington County and will be discharged if their owners do not claim them. Two “mulatto” males from Berkeley County, VA, are William L. Thompson and James Jackson. The third is a “mulatto” female named Lizzie Gibson who says she is owned by Oliver Gephart of Cumberland, MD.
