Union Pole Raising at Weverton, Maryland
Summary
The citizens of Weverton recently raised a large Union pole to which was affixed the U.S. flag. The previous flag had been taken down and carried off by the Confederates. Thomas S.S. Lee was chairman of the meeting, and Alfred Spencer, the secretary. Remarks were made by Dr. J.A. Wive.
