Union Convention

Summary

The undersigned (85 signers) requests that the Union citizens of Washington County meet in their districts on April 20 (1861) to elect delegates to a County Convention in Hagerstown on April 23, which, in turn, will choose six delegates to represent the county at the State Convention that will meet in Baltimore on May 2 for the purpose of organizing a state party that supports the Union.
