At Friends of the Constitutional Union Party held in Hagerstown on March 22 (1860), six delegates were selected to represent the county in an upcoming State Convention. Those selected were J. Dixon Roman, Daniel Weisel, Peter B. Small, Benjamin F. Lushbaugh, Levin Benton and Fred’k K. Zeigler.
