Summary
Col. Clifton L. Prentiss, 6th MD Vols., died a few days ago in Brooklyn. When the war began he enlisted as a private in the company commanded by Lt. Col. E.M. Fachtz and earned promotions to major and brevet colonel. He suffered wounds in several battles.
