State Bounty
Summary
Those soldiers entitled to state bounty who are not on the state rolls are required to send their certificates of muster to the officers who mustered them into service, or call upon their officers in person so that they can correct the omission. Thos. E. Mittag, Washington County’s bounty commissioner, is able to pay bounties to those whose names are on the rolls.
