Removing the Dead
Summary
Per the (Middletown) Valley Register, a burial party from Antietam National Cemetery came to town last Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to disinter all Union soldiers in the Soldiers Graveyard. Over one hundred bodes were taken and transported to Antietam National Cemetery for final interment.
