Shooting Affair
Summary
On August 1 (1865) a quarrel took place between returned Union soldier G. Milton Trayer, Co. I, 13th MD, and former Confederate soldier Jno. Cook Mobberly, both of New Market, which resulted in the shooting of the former by the latter. Mobberly was arrested and released on $500 bail.
