WAR NOT COMMENCED YET!
WHILE the country is yet true from the contamination[?] of Civil War, the undersigned take this notice[?] of information their friends and customers that they have just returned from the City with a large and ____ stock of:
Spring and Summer Goods,
Which giving to the hardness of finances, have been purchased very low, and consequently they are obliged to offer such prices suitable to purchasers that cannot fail to give satisfaction. The store consists of all kinds of
DRY GOODS,
Part of which we name as follows: Ladies’ Black & Fancy Dress Silks, ___, ____, ____, _____, _____, ______, Ginghams, Brilliants, Plain and ___ Lacquer[?], Summer Shawls,
Cloths, Cassimeres, Vestings,
Jeans, Denims, Brown-Linens, &c., &c. Also, a large stock of
GLOVES AND HOSIERY.
GROCERIES
of all kinds, such as Coffee, White & Brown Sugars, Molasses of different grades, Teas, Spices, &c., &. Also, a large lot of LIQUORS, among which are some of the choicest brands.
To the above we earnestly invite the attention of purchasers, assuring them that no pains on our part will be spared to give satisfaction; in a word, we may say the Goods have been bought low, and will positively be sold low.
CLOTHING still made to order, and fit guaranteed.
