“Heard of the burning of the Armory and arsenal at Harper’s Ferry. Rebellion commences in Baltimore. Northern troops Butler refused a passage through the city and was attacked by a mob. ...The Rebellion as it is called has now commenced in earnest. Virginia seceded.”
